Frequently asked questions
It all began with a simple idea, fueled by a deep passion for empowering people with essential first aid knowledge. First Aid by Megan Bramwell is committed to personal attention and dedication in every course we deliver. Our approach is rooted in quality and integrity, ensuring that everything we do reflects our commitment to excellence and your success. Below are some common questions we receive.
How many students can attend a first aid course?
To ensure personalised attention and effective learning, we typically limit group sizes. For practical courses like Emergency First Aid at Work, we usually accommodate up to 12 students per instructor. Virtual Mental Health First Aid courses can often host larger groups, but we maintain an optimal instructor-to-student ratio. Please contact us with your specific requirements for a tailored quote.
When will I receive my certificate after completing a course?
We understand the importance of receiving your certification promptly. Upon successful completion of your course, certificates are typically processed and issued within 7-10 working days. Your e-certificates are issued immediately to your personal email address. We will notify you once your certificate is ready and get these to you promptly.
What makes first aid by Megan Bramwell stand out?
As a fully qualified and passionate instructor, I bring a personal and engaging approach to first aid training. My commitment to developing people's skills, ensures a professional, safe, and effective learning environment. We can also offer bespoke training tailored to your needs, whether in-person or virtually.
What types of first aid courses do you offer?
We specialise in Mental Health First Aid (available virtually), Paediatric First Aid, and Emergency First Aid at Work. Our Emergency First Aid course comprehensively covers CPR training, bandaging techniques, Defibrillator use, relevant regulations, and how to effectively treat a casualty in various situations.
How much travel is involved for your courses?
Our Mental Health First Aid courses can be completed virtually from the comfort of your own home or office, eliminating any travel. For Paediatric and Emergency First Aid at Work courses, we are based in Kent, United Kingdom, and can deliver training at your premises or a suitable local venue for a small travel fee. We aim to make training as accessible as possible.
Are your courses certified and recognised?
Yes, all our courses lead to nationally recognised certifications, enabling you to meet regulatory requirements and demonstrate your competence. As a qualified instructor, I ensure the training adheres to the latest guidelines and standards.
Please note however, any unregulated (tailored) courses are not recognised by the FAA. However we can still provide a certificate of attendance.
What are your qualifications and experience?
I am a fully qualified first aid training instructor with a passion for educating and developing skills. My experience covers working with diverse groups and tailoring training to their unique needs.
What should I know before or after my course?
Before a virtual course, ensure you have a stable internet connection and a quiet space. For in-person courses, comfortable clothing is recommended. After your course, remember that practice makes perfect! We encourage you to refresh your skills regularly and apply your knowledge confidently. We're always here for follow-up questions.
Who can attend our courses?
Our first aid courses are open to all learners aged 14 or over. (We have 1 available course for any age to teach basic life support, which is an unregulated course). There is no upper age limit on gaining these invaluable skills, as we believe everyone should have the opportunity to become a qualified first aider and support people in their area. The only thing we have to ensure is that all learners are able to demonstrate CPR in order to qualify. Join us today to make a real difference in your community.
